Lazy Bones

           Lazy Bones
 
I’ve stayed in bed too long today
Get up right now, to self I say.
My mind just put me to the test
My body it just wants to rest.
 
I think I’ll pull the cover tight
And snuggle down, ‘twill be alright.
For just a while I’ll close my eyes
And when awake, I will then rise.
 
Bound out of bed, get dressed real fast
And then be ready up at last.
Go for a walk, I’ll take the dog
And when she runs, may even jog
 
So come on girl there’s much to do,
With exercise you’ll feel brand new.
No! Don’t close your eyes, "OUT" I say
Get up, live life, there’s no replay.

At times it is easy just to pull the covers up and catch a few more ZZZ but life is short and this luxury is only for special occasions Nana Naps are acceptable though LOL
