cacophony poem

Domestic cacophony

by zanya

Logs crackle in the grate
Twin boys holler at their mate
Baby bawls in his high chair
as if to say life isn't fair
Teen zapping Bang Bang 3
Unrelenting as can be
Mummy screams to keep it down
Before Dad comes out of town
Daddy storms through the front door
Yelling to get the lawn mower
Midnight chimes from the church tower
Peace restored before tomorrow
