The How And Why Of Things

by Idamarty

Gazillions of stars way up in the sky.
How did they get there? How and why?
Maybe God said, ``This sky needs some light.``
So He blew on some glitter to make the night bright.

Big white fluffy clouds go floating on by.
How did they get there? How and why?
Maybe all the angels made a special request,
So God made big pillows in case they needed to rest.

Salty tears fall down my cheeks when I cry.
How did they get there? How and why?
I`m not sure how, but there's one thing I know,
I always get extra marshmallows in my cocoa.

Mom says people go to heaven when they die.
How do they get there? How and why?
Maybe God makes us wings so we can fly high,
So we can all be together again, I think that's why, sigh.
