Careering through love's
myriad plains
I find myself beset
with pains.

Heart and soul, scythed
then sutured,
yet again, emotions
butchered.

I only have myself
to blame
I never learn, each time's
the same.

Myself I proffer to you,
yearning
open heart beats, hope is
burning

that this time love's here
to stay
for more than just one blessed

Today is not the day
