Faceplants Unwanted
A chapter in the book Little Poems
Careless Legacy
by Treischel
Where ever you walk, do not stumble, For you may take a dreadful tumble. So please try avoid each craggy crack, Or you may just wind up on your back. Bananna peels might just make you slip And could cause a very nasty trip Then history's weather may not erase The imprint left by your flattened face. |
Just a little poem about leaving an impression.
Downtown St. Paul had a contest to put 15 new concrete sidewalks around a market square. They asked local poets to submit poems. The 15 winning poems would be imprinted in the cement. I submitted this poem.
