Baby's afterthoughts?
With Mother's Milk You Succoured Me
by Peter@Poole
With mother's milk you succoured me
from your brimming food fact'ry; your breasts swelled up with creamy milk, while fingers felt your skin like silk Those nipples that hung over me presented pretty symmetry; you came on stream and let me suck a nipple that my fingers plucked. Your lambent eyes bathed me in light, as little fists held you so tight, and baby fingers felt your teat that hardened till I'd had surfeit. I gurgled when you dabbed your breast and let me have a moment's rest, then with two fingers found my lips and tempted me with tasty sips. sometimes when full I'd have to pause, and limply open little jaws, till you took me and turned me round so that your other 'shop' I found. Then while I sucked, I heard your heart, my mother you who played your part, and pressed me close to creamy breast, your refuge where I felt caressed. |

A nursing mother experiences the most intense feelings, but if we look into the baby's eyes, it also feels, but has no words to express it. This theme came to mind today when I was talking to a 'yummy mummy' and remembered mine.
