A short, yet longing prayer
A chapter in the book CSP: A Collection of Poems
Her Needs, My Prayer
by Sixteezkid
You gave her to me, God- I never asked you why She'd need me all her life On me, she could rely The challenge has been hard Unknowns along the way But love has been my guide Each step, each mile, each day Yet now that she has grown Her needs are all the more I lend her back to you For help, I do implore As "special" she is called My daughter, so in need It seems no human touch Can help her, I concede Now, in your hands I trust For no one else can place Her future in the light I ask for all your grace So, this my only prayer Please hold her in your care |
