A Play on an old Beatle's song. Let It Be
I Much Prefer To Leave Things Be
I don't want to change my past or time; I'm content right where I am.
I've no desire to change my life; don't need no more pizzazz or glam.
Just being rather average that's more than enough for me
I almost stealing a Beatles song, I much prefer to leave things be.
I don't want to have more money, get into enough trouble with what I got
Don't want to leave Australia, where the weather can get too damn hot.
Don't want to change my friends, 'cause we share good memories.
Some good, some bad, but best of all, I much prefer to leave things be.
I don't want to forget those days that have delivered so much reward.
A wife and family I'd never change and a thank you to the Lord.
There's so much to reflect upon, life sure has spoiled me.
Don't think I'll make no changes, I much prefer To Leave Things Be
I don't want to forget where I've been or things I've done.
The hardships an' the victories some I lost an' some I won.
I'll forever treasure the friendships they're now part of me,
Wouldn't change a single thing, I Much Prefer To Leave Things Be.
Now as I reflect upon the many battles I have fought
All those years at school where those dear old Nun's they taught.
But I've survived through it all, an' now I live rich with memory,
I wouldn't change a single thing, I Much Prefer To Leave Things Be
