Lieutenant Mike Brady races to find a two year old boy

The Kidnapping - Chapter One

by Pamusart

His mom and dad are worried sick.

Their son’s the baby that they picked.

It can’t be ransom ‘cause they’re broke.

They found him gone when they awoke.

Through crying tears, the room feels cold.

Their child is only two years old.

Now waiting for the FBI,

they blow their noses, wipe their eyes.

--------------------

The questions the police have asked

have delved a lot into their past.

All swirl and twirl inside their minds.

They feel emotions of all kinds.

They’re separate when interviewed.

Cops look for change in attitude.

The father didn’t hear a thing

except a quiet sounding ring.

------------------

Police compare the notes they took.

It seems they need a second look.

The kidnappers, they had a phone.

It’s likely that they’re not alone.

They need to find the mastermind

to help this case’s clues unwind.

That’s why Lieutenant Brady’s here.

He tries to calm the father‘s fear.

--------------------

The man who solved the Kirby case

has found he's in another race.

He takes the mother to the room

where she has such a sense of gloom.

The room her child was taken from,

it had few clues, but there were some.

Some prints on outdoor window frame,

a criminal’s not on his game.
