Battle Knights

Alarms blared.
Enemies charged.
Landscape blanketed.
Warriors roared.
Mountains echoed.
Dawn awakened.

Treaty, broken.

King summoned.
Queen trembled.
Knights assembled.

Breach imminent.
Numbers immense.
Archers positioned.
Catapults loaded.
Oils boiled.
Deaths...certain.

Armor fitted.
Weapons donned.
Shields strapped.
Steeds mounted.
Gates opened.
Honor held.
Battle began.

Axes chopped.
Swords pierced.
Maces crushed.

Limbs severed.
Organs bled.
Skulls burst.

Exchange, fierce.
Lives forfeited.
Bodies scattered.
Acres covered.
Death stank.

Battle ended.

Brethren lost.
Sacrifice, worthy.
Righteous deaths.

Gracious Queen.
Tearful eyes.
Bowing knights.

Victory celebrated...

Kingdom saved.

I was under the impression the entries were supposed to be a complete "story."
Maybe I misunderstood.
