hope this does not come true
10 years for writing a poem
by jake cosmos aller
One day, Sam Lee was at home when he got the proverbial midnight knock on the door and his nightmare began. The SWAT team broke down the door and dragged him off. He was an amateur blogger, and one day wrote a satirical poem that went viral and made the dear leader angry. Sam was arrested and tried on a new charge – insulting the President. He was sentenced to 10 years hard labor for his political crime. He found himself in a political prisoner camp, working from dawn to dusk then attending forced religious services. All for writing a poem!

In 100 words, or less, write a short story--not necessarily a flash-fiction, though it could be--on the theme/subject/topic of 'prisoner'. It could be literal or metaphoric.
Note: Hope this does not happen. In other countries, writers have been imprisoned for writing satirical poems and stories. It seems that dictators everywhere do not like being mocked. In one case in the 60's a Korean newspaper editor spent five years in prison because he wrote a headline calling President Park the Great Dog because he claimed it was a typo - mixed up the characters (back when Korean press still used lots of Chinese characters) of President and great dog.
