A silly poem about an imaginary man

Shadow Man

by Cecilia A Heiskary

He hides in the day
And lurks in the night
Shadow man causes fear
In everyone's heart

He makes the dogs bark
The cats run from fear
He is an imaginary man
That makes everyone scared

Look in the shadows, day or night
He will give you an awful fright
Mothers keep your children safe
Or shadow man might take their life

No one knows where shadow man lives
He could be in the closet or under the bed
Shadow man fears no one this you should know
So be careful where you go

Shadow man is watching everything you do
He knows you're afraid and doesn't really care
He will get you, so watch your back
If shadow man finds you, you'll end up dead

I wrote this poem a couple years ago. Every time we would go outside the dogs would bark at nothing. So this poem started brewing in my head. It's just a silly poem about my barking dogs.
