a poem

Remember When

Do you remember when...
we were going to battle climate change?
 
Now it is back to being a hoax.
 
Do you remember when...
we were going to punish treason,
insurrection, and emolument clause profiteering?
 
Now they are back to bilking the taxpayers.
 
Do you remember when
we jailed thieves, grifters, and spies?
 
Now we make them department heads.
