James Dean looks like me.

by royowen

James Dean looks like me

It's when I sit behind these eyes,
I wear illusion's bright disguise.
'cause everything I see or hear
is subject to my dreams or fear.

So, you may think that naked eyes,
are ruled by what the vision spies.
But I tell you that faith will dream
of landscapes, thoughts of wholesome scheme.

I saw a photo in my youth
when beauty's dream was wise and couth.
I leaned against a a car in jeans
with stomach flat as vision gleans.

So many film stars looked like me
and in my dreams I'm wild and free.
I gaze upon the clouds and sit,
as dragon flies on ponds still flit.

So, in my mind my youthful looks
should be inscribed on film and books.
My thoughts will dream of better days
when Jimmy Dean had stole my ways.

I came across an old black and white photo of a good looking young man leaning against a car wearing a white T-Shirt and tight jeans, looking very cool, and, it was me! But not unlike James Dean, an iconic film star of a bygone era, he died tragically very young, but was a heart throb for many a young girl. The photo is of him. I could not find that old photo of me. Sigh

Hebrews 11:1
