narrative on our destructive influence on nature

Nature's Anger

by CM Pickard

her anger
ignites in blackened sky,
scorched by our apathy and disregard

in crimson
southern horizons
nature dances on a razor's edge

while fleeing
cockatoos squawks devour
koalas ghosts echo in ashen shrub
