Do not depend on how you feel,
it may not be what's right or real.
Opinions are the bane of man,
they tend a nurtured falsehood's plan.

When feeling good, with light you share,
but do you think it's just fate's lair?
The human heart will rarely find
its tale could be the thought that's blind.

I may not care for whom you vote,
but please don't stand on stage and gloat.
Why don't you with your mind engage,
the power of reason hosts what's sage.

As indignation causes rage,
so quietness with peace engage.
Philosophy was not conceived,
to prove what feelings have received.

So think with grace about both sides.
One, where grace and kindness rides,
and two, where thought and wisdom bides.
