A very silly acrostic poem!

Love Behind A Pumpkin

by Shirley Ann Bunyan

Romance Contest Winner

  Love was in the air,

  Over here and over there.

Very cute, I thought you were,

  Even blond, which I prefer.

But your boyfriend was in tow

  Eyeing any would-be beau.

How to get you on your own.

I saw you had a mobile phone.

Now to put my plan in place.

Do you know I’m a disgrace.

Always was, but I am weak.

Pretty girl, you’re what I seek.”

  Under guise of needing help

  Moving pumpkins to the shelf

Please could you take some snaps.

Kindly help me out with that.”

I used every bit of charm.

Now we’re lovers. Arm in arm.

Writing Prompt
Poetry and love have been synonymous since poetry was first invented. Your acrostic poem should relate to this subject. An acrostic is a poem which spells out a word or idea. Sometimes what it spells out is the the title of the poem itself. Usually the first letter of each line spells out this key word.
