A Bull Fight
Seen Through The Eyes Of A Bull
He sails through the air, with the greatest of ease,
Looked like he belonged, on the flying trapeze.
But it all went wrong when he started to sneeze,
Then he blew away in a strong ev'ning breeze.
His name Fernando, a Spaniard with no shame,
The matador claimed, ev'ry bull knew his name.
El Torro entered the ring, boasted he'd tame,
Tonight, he would prove, an' he'd back up this claim.
All tickets were sold, an' the crowd was immense
The mob screaming, leanin' on ev'ry damn fence
Seats were all filled, Fernando stood so tense
El Torro paced 'round, the air growing real dense.
The trumpeter blew loud, the crowd on their feet
El Torro stood stock still, so full on conceit
Neither bull nor fighter had ever been beat,
One question remained, who'd survive, this night's stifling heat?
The contest started slow, the bull pawed and wheezed
The dust stirred slowly, the bull needed to sneeze,
The judge called loud; "Gent's it is time if you please."
The truth lives with him: The Judge fell to his knees
When that whistle blew, judge knew, there'd be nuthin' learned.
Reality screamed, a failed bull would be burned.
The Judge didn't hear, barely uttered one word.
Result was now near, I sensed the crowd now concurred.
Time has a way, slowly reveals what is true,
Eats at your conscience, an' at all things you do.
Face up to each task an' to yourself be true
Forgiveness brings solution, wife loves me too.
Fernando now lives in a well-grassed fertile field
Meals delivered ev'ry day, pre-warmed an' sealed.
He's groomed each morning an' pampered at night
Knew when he moved here, that decision was right.
So ev'ry eve'ning, as he roams to graze
Listens to the farmer, who sings his own praise.
I know I'm the reason; my pockets are full.
T'is also the truth, seen through the eyes of a bull

I re-edited this, re-promoted it and added a final verse. I think it probably reads better now. Thanks.
