Fairy tale stories frog did tell

to  Henry the wombat and

Slowpoke the snail, who always left a silvery trail,

about his journey on a rainy day.

“Upon the lake I was sitting,

raindrops started to fall on my head,

the waterlily on which I sat,

swirled  me backwards and forwards, close to the river bed.

The direction the wind did blow is where I had to go,

I nearly fell of my waterlily,

which was swirling around and around,

I started to became dizzy. 

Holding on to my waterlily very tight,

this was such a plight for me,

floating on the river where I sat alone,

bouncing over stones.

I croaked!, out loud,

Wee! this is fun.

Faster and faster I travelled down the river,

passing snail moving so slow,

I noticed his big eyes could not believe what he did see,

that his friend, was moving so fast.

-At last-

I leapt from my waterlily, onto green grass,

before being swept away by cold wind blowing,

raindrops still falling on my head,

so I sat in the rain for a while.

Frog did say with a smile, I caught a fly on my tongue.

The sun eventually did shine and was kind,

I saw the water had slowed down and

I had lost my frown but not my crown.

All ended well and my journey home was fine”.
