I think that I will never meet
a lady that is quite so neat
as my Grandma, she's really sweet
to be with her's a special treat.

She has a really kindly face.
She dresses up in crinkly lace.
She moves with elegance and grace
but catches me in every chase.

I love the stories that she tells
of fishing boats and wishing wells.
I love her lavender which smells
like perfume from enchanted dells.

Granny knows I like to make
my favourite food, a chocolate cake.
She shows me how to shake 'n' bake
then finish off with no mistake.

She teaches me to sow and knit.
My friends admire my woollen kit.
They say my bobble hat's a hit.
I tell them that my Gran's just "it."

And Granny helps me with my sums.
Her math's much better than my mum's.
Now I don't count on fingers and thumbs,
My brain can add it up! Wow! Crumbs!

My Granny lets me splash in puddles,
she hugs me when I get in muddles.
When I'm upset she gives me cuddles,
with Grandad's help we form love huddles.

Grandma likes "Go fish in the pool."
I think she lets me win - that's cool.
She laughs when Grandad plays the fool.
A day with Gran beats being at school!

Each time I have to say "goodbye"
I see the tears in Granny's eye.
She says, "be good, I know you'll try."
I hope the next six days fly by!
