A poem about Blue Ghost Fireflies

Blue Ghost Fireflies

A firefly is a spark in the night, many children can't wait till they see this sight
 
There are many species of the firefly, the lifespan is short then they die
 
The blue ghost firefly is unique, many people want to take a peak
 
These fireflies live in southern states, a blue-greenish light they do create 
 
They are a bright flashlight, an enchanted event that will excite
 
It is like a true romantic story, male and female in their glory
 
The blue ghost fireflies are rare, this is the truth I swear 
 
They glow the same color to attract a mate, people who see this show think it is great
 
Female fireflies do not fly, but they lay on the forest floor while males do fly and glow more
 
The belief is these fireflies lay on the burial site of confederate soldiers, where there are many boulders 
 
Some people look at these fireflies as ghosts, but you won't see them on any coasts
