A poem about a memory I will never forget

My Precious Memory

by Brenda Strauser

My first grandchild was getting married
Everyone was buzzing with excitement
The enchanting decor added a fairytale ceremony
Her stunning dress was breathtaking

The couples' handwritten vows created a magical moment
All of us could see the radiant glow around her
The reception was lavish and classy
The romantic music playing added a love- filled atmosphere

The D.J. announced a song dedicated to granddaughter's MeMa
Mama's Song by Carrie Underwood started playing
This came as a complete surprise
My emotions were in a whirlwind

With a twinkle in her eye, she called me to the dance floor
Her smile melted my heart
Tears of joy streamed down my face
I felt a surge of happiness

Beautiful words from the song touched me in every way
Love for her swelled up inside of me
I had a feeling of warmth emitting from my soul
This was one of the most precious moments in my life
