Inside My Dreams

Inside my dreams where demons play

Lie simple tidbits of my day

A mem'ry warped, a face that's maimed

A road to nowhere yet unnamed

Or Mona Lisa, old and gray

As I lay sleeping, evil pries

Behind my dank and weary eyes

These spooks and specters how they slay

As on my sanity they prey

Their antics leave me traumatized

Inside my dreams

I curse this battle I must wage

That leaves me trapped inside this cage

Where tainted mem'ries have their way

as I lay war torn from the fray

that leaves me racked and filled with rage
