Sometimes experience trumps youth.
All Awash

Light turned to night. A whirring sound intruded, followed by a deluge.
My grandson looked up at me. He was clearly gob smacked.
"What just happened, Grandpa?"
"Well, you said you wanted adventure. Here it is."
Bemused, he muttered,
"Seems as though we are trapped." his voice uncertain.
" We are for the moment. It will pass."
"Are you certain?" He moved uneasily in his seat.
" I know things."
As if on cue, the light returned. The deluge ceased.
I smiled.
Car wash done.
