A Riddle With A Difference

by Claire Tennant

The sky a vivid hue, its companion looking watery
daffodils in the flower bed wave, dressed in their finery
the grassland melts in a soft array, an almost glassy sheen
pretty to be walked on, extends a strength supreme
then there is the gorgeous bride dressed in lace and veil
her attendants, like peacocks, follow her trail
groom and mates walk towards her, swanlike, as they bring
the visual aid cementing the vows a treasure bold, the ring
All of these descriptions should tickle your imagination
not using the colour name is indeed an exasperation!
