Eyes

Eyes like Dad's of chocolate brown
Yet, I no longer wear a frown
Ever the poet and a clown

So, it is time to say goodbye
Urgent surgery on these eyes
Recovering well at home, it seems
Glasses avoided the light gleams
Even my balance improves
Reading blurbs from the TV news
Yes, it's over, change is due
