a 75-word story
The Ocelot

Ed took a look at his first draft for the seventy-five-word story. The word count on Google said a thousand words. Clearly, some parts would have to be reduced.
First, instead of the title, The Three Ocelots, it would have to be The Ocelot. Then, since there were two brothers and a sister, two had to go.
Out goes the jungle – now a path; no back story – a day in the life, okay, an hour.
