moonlight beauty

Etchings

by gansach

Silver laden branches

dripping with moonlight;

naked, barren branches,

silhouettes in night.

Tiny dewdrops running

'long paled stalks of grass,

racing to the swordtips,

hanging~teardrop glass.

Silken, whispered breezes

twining through the wood,

touching and embracing,

softly understood;

light and airy footprints

trace along lit paths,

leaving fairy tiptoes

trailing from their baths.

No one there to witness,

no one there to see

sudden silver beauty

'cept the moon . . .

and me!
