Dear God,

I wanted to write to simply say thanks. It is not always easy to remember to feel this gratitude, but in this moment the feeling is resonating so deeply within me that I could not let the day end without first penning this letter.
 

God, thank you for presenting yourself to me in so many beautiful forms, for the souls, places, and experiences I love so deeply.

Thank you for my children, my parents, my husband, my brother, my friends, and my pets.

Thank you for the strangers and acquaintances who help me grow through their kindness, their openness, and even their cruelty.

Thank you for the sun and sky and trees and water, for cozy hidden places and wide open spaces. Thank you for the familiar and the new, for rest and for exhilaration. Thsnk you for the library of memories we have written together along the way.

Thank you for Love: Your language, Your currency, Your essence.

Thank you, God. I am so grateful.
