Questrain is a quatrain that ends with a question

Stopped in its tracks

by JLR

Across a broad expanse of water,
the craft scooted quite swiftly,
but suddenly seemed to potter.
Were the waves too shifty?

The boat was beyond the breakwater
Winds weren't blowing too stiffly.
On the waves, floated an otter.
Were the gray skies drizzly?

What a fine day for Neptune's daughter.
The waves seemed very thrifty.
She and her pet in saltwater.
Were the boaters nifty?
