I had no words to express my feeling.
Devastated
by HarryT
We were engaged for a few months. Susie was my dream girl. She's a petite blonde with blue eyes and little freckles across the bridge of her nose. I had planned to take her to dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant. I rang her doorbell, she answered. She walked into the living room and turned and said, “I’ve got to tell you something.”
I said, “What’s the matter?”
She reached out her hand and opened it. My ring was in her palm.
“I’m sorry. I can’t marry you. I’ve met someone else at work.”
I cried in my car for hours.
