If the reader would like a deeper understanding of my very short poem, you may refer to the following:

John 3:16-17 NIV
[16] For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
[17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

1 John 5:11 NIV
[11] And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

John 14:6 NIV
[6] Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Romans 10:9 NIV
[9] If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 5:8 NIV
[8] But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 4:16 NIV
[16] And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

Psalms 90:2 NIV
[2] Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

John 1:1-5 NIV
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] He was with God in the beginning.
[3] Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
[4] In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
[5] The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
(And if you read further on in John 1, you will see that the "Word" the author was referring to is, in fact, Jesus.)
