Another Chapter
by Begin Again
Today's date was circled in red. I'd done it out of habit. It was my parents' anniversary. Tears welled in my eyes.
Last year, they divorced.
Dad met a woman half his age. Mom took up yoga. They claimed to be happy whenever I visited, but none of us were.
Last week, an envelope arrived. Distracted, I tossed it aside.
Today, I opened it. A picture fell out. "Dad and I got married. We're honeymooning and happy again."
