Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
memories of what if

The Hallway

Looking down
a hallway
dimly lit.
 
How many years
mine rings with
as I sit?
 
It emanates 
I think,
a more neutral
 
recognition
of that which history
is subject to.
 
Fate.
Circumstance.
Ignorance,
Consequence.
 
And
an eternal,
powerless
vigil.
 
Yet,
I remain here
mesmerized.
 
Why, I wonder,
did it not
speak to me before?
 
You know,
it is eerie 
when Fate walks
 
a Muse,
discussing...
you.
 
Playing tag
with Fate
always leaves you...it.
 
Perhaps,
I should just
sweep the floor.
