About a man who took a wrong turn in life

Thunderbirds

by Pamusart

The Thunderbirds storm their wings into sky
While pregnant dark clouds go rolling on by
The dusty dry desert’s soaked by the rain
A layer of mud is all that remains

The thirsty young drifter fights for his life
He thinks of his home and misses his wife
The rain is most welcomed, soothing parched lips
While mud clings to shoes and even to hips

Exhaustion had caused him to fall to the ground
He now has a chance to live ‘til he's found
He looks to the heavens praying out loud
He stares at a passing life saving cloud

He feels he will make it to this time next year
Before the rain storm, he trembled with fear
He starts to arise and walk through the storm
Resisting the winds, he sees a dark form

He thinks he has made it through this ordeal
‘cause surely that form will help him to heal
His fortunes have changed but not for the best
The form’s a mirage; he should have gone West

Recognized

This poor man just took a wrong turn in life. For that, he forfeited his life. Luckily most wrong turns in life are not fatal
