A story about a tree we planted on our property.

Weeping at Waters Edge

by patcelaw

Weeping at the waters edge,

With my heart broken by my loss,

remembering when we planted

a stick no longer than a cane,

we watched it grow into a tree

that brought me comfort for years

after you were taken from me in death.

The image is from Google search. Even though it is not the willow tree that we had on our property it is very close and resemblance to the one that we had. I got many hours of pleasure under that tree and enjoyed it for the time that we had it.
