Dreams

by Pamusart

A single clap invades my mind
I've waited long to hear that sound
The world outside has not been kind
My inner joy has just been found

Another clap and then lots more
I can’t believe the claps are mine
They’re cheering for my music score
My new arrangements sound just fine

Before today a nervous cough,
Some  clearing throats and shuffling feet
Were sounds I heard when things got rough
It’s where I sighed and felt so beat

It started from a simple dream
But just to dream won’t make it true
I’ve cried the tears so bittersweet
As doubt and fear inside me grew

And, now my dream has been realized
I know that I have done my best
'Cause dreams will have no shape or size
Not one of them is like the rest

A female musician asked me to write a poem about music and her dream. It is about hard work, self sacrifice and determination to reach her dream of becoming famous. Shes on her way!!
