Child of disobedience I’d been
 Parted from Him because of sin
While in our paths, birds and beasts flee
They know not sin, ‘twas you and me

The Father who did fashion me
Did purchase again, at high fee
It cost His Son’s life on the cross
Our precious gain was His great loss

But the story did not end there
our grief would be too great to bear
In Heaven now, He makes a place
That we may taste of His sweet grace
