A plea to God from someone who is about to lose it all.

a desperate plea

by emmabs

Life's games are far too cruel to believe in optimistic things,

Or to believe in some good tidings the future brings.

Love and faith are blessings for the fool,

Life isn’t something any of us get to rule.

For I have never loved what I have found more than that I’ve lost.

I have never felt what I’d gained was worth all it cost.

Because the things I have cherished most have been taken,

Like some heavenly force has somehow awaken,

Stripping me of my greatest connections,

Why are those I love deemed the defections?

Why do I have to watch him die slowly?

Like watching him decompose, was I unholy?

What past life am I being punished for?

Do I have to bleed from every pore?

I would lay down my future to restore his past

And I promise I will do all that you asked.

I’ll take a moment and give you lifetimes,

I will gladly commit any of your crimes.

Prove you’re all powerful by restoring a great man

I promise then I will believe in your great plan.

If you cannot I will sell my soul

I will give your enemy complete control,

Don’t let my desperation be our downfall,

Please save him, save me, save us all.
