Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
Aristotle had some ideas about truth. He'd find us uncouth!

Aristotle Would Hit The Bottle

What is Truth Contest Winner
If “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”,
I submit the truth about truth is even bolder!
Here, I shan’t mix truth with political chatter;
Truth is never found there, so it doesn’t matter.

For what is truth to one may not at all be
To another, a doubter, a detractor of he
Or she, for that matter, for I surely submit
All pols shape their truth to your truth's fit!

Indeed, all who speak, proclaim strong position
Have their own point of truth – ergo, “mission”
Which can taint what the eyes think they see
Or distort spoken words, or define what be!

Pure “truth”, as pure as the driven snow,
But, how would we of this earth ever know?
Neither too fine of line, nor of voice too cute,
Should ever cloud truth, else leave it mute!

For with pure silence there can be less doubt!
And that, my friends, that’s what I’m talkin’ about!

Well, wasn't this fun to write in this hot political season! Thank you for the prompt and may we all find the truth - whatever that might mean to each... (But, if you find it, don't tell my wife!)
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
