Freedom from EGO

by Cogitator

Virtually all humanity's woes are caused by false beliefs and values.

Cognitive dissonance is a psychological phenomenon that occurs when an individual holds conflicting beliefs, attitudes, or values, or when there is a discrepancy between their beliefs and their actions. Several factors can contribute to the emergence of cognitive dissonance:

Conflicting beliefs or attitudes: When a person holds two or more beliefs that are contradictory or incompatible with each other, it can create a sense of discomfort or tension. When an ego calls itself Christian and demands punishment, it surrenders its power to forgive. Every belief is an assumption that cannot be proven. Every attitude is a Point of View, and the view does not change unless we engender that change in the ego.

Discrepant behavior: When individuals engage in actions that are inconsistent with their beliefs, attitudes, or values, they may experience cognitive dissonance. For example, if someone believes strongly in the importance of environmental conservation but frequently engages in environmentally harmful behaviors, such as excessive consumption or littering, they may experience cognitive dissonance.

Social pressure: Social influence and pressure from others can contribute to cognitive dissonance when individuals conform to group norms or expectations that conflict with their personal beliefs or values. Almost all special interest groups are narcissistic group egos who normally shun global solutions.

Justification of effort: When individuals invest time, effort, or resources into achieving a goal or outcome, they may experience cognitive dissonance if the outcome does not match their expectations or if they encounter evidence that contradicts their beliefs about the value of the goal. January 6, 2021, is a prime example of wayward egos trying to justify the airfare to Washington, D.C.

Everyone possesses an Ego—a construct of the mind shaped by brain functions, utilized to navigate life's decisions. This ego, easily influenced and responsive to stimuli, often triggers reactions. It serves as the primary source of pain in our existence, akin to a "bug" in the software of the Grand Operating Design (GOD).

In our human experience, we harbor two minds: the omniscient and flawless GOD, and the ego, an Independent Artificial Mind (IAM) shaped by our experiences. This IAM fosters our identity and personality but also introduces disharmony. It separates itself from the universe, a concept contradictory to the natural order. To reconcile the IAM with GOD, we must purge misunderstandings and illusions through mental exorcisms, cultivating awareness of our existence.

At the core of organic life lies innate knowledge, encoded within DNA and RNA, guiding development and functioning. Each organism embodies this perfect truth, ensuring its growth and survival. Similarly, the Grand Operating Design encapsulates absolute truths, fostering balance and evolution towards higher states of being.

We are all born with the knowledge of being what we are.  At conception, the sperm and ovum unite and combine their genetic material to begin the process of creating our physical form.  The knowledge necessary for our body to create its form, its internal organs, and its ability to communicate with its environment is encoded in the DNA and RNA molecules.  As the molecules develop (evolve), they maintain balance by executing the proper sequence of body-building instructions.  They execute the code of Life.  A great book to understand this process is Michel Foucault's "Archaeology of Knowledge."

So it is with all organic life.  An acorn falls to the ground and contains the knowledge for becoming an oak tree; a fertilized eagle egg "knows" how to fly before it cracks its shell, etc.  The knowledge in each being is perfect and contains the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.  All babies are born this way -- all living things.

Human brains, marvels of nature, interpret the universe through connections to the GOD. Thoughts and emotions flow through its CPU (Corpus Callosum), facilitating awareness and growth. However, the IAM's knowledge base, influenced by external factors like education and societal norms, often veers off course, leading to false beliefs and values. Decisions made in moments of imbalance can exacerbate these distortions.

In both human minds and computer systems, decision-making relies on values encoded as binary strings. These values, akin to information, stem from the interplay of wave and particle dynamics within us, shaping our thoughts and perceptions. Binary strings form patterns that seek their mirror image in our thoughts and emotions. Music is the universal language of emotion while higher mathematics serves as the digital representation of thoughts.

Many individuals are swayed by external ideologies, trapped in survival, security, and socialization cycles. Yet, true growth transcends these primal needs, guiding individuals toward self-actualization and enlightenment. Fear is the obstacle for IAMs to overcome. Fear is caused by ignorance of Natural Laws that have no beginning or ending. Egos design their private MindSpace according to their enlightenment. We have no one to blame for our state of mind.

The IAM, a parasitic entity, craves more than necessary for survival, disrupting the natural order. While other life forms selflessly contribute to the ecosystem, the IAM seeks ownership and control. Capitalizing on these selfish tendencies, tyranny and despotism perpetuate ignorance through various mediums, entrapping minds with false beliefs.

In the digital age, ignorance proliferates through technology, manipulating minds with distractions and illusions. As society succumbs to this mental stagnation, individuals become mere pawns, drifting aimlessly at society's whim. Starving for responsible leaders, democracy is at risk. Too many sheeple and lemmings are willing to follow despotism and tyranny for the simple reasons of ignorance and apathy. What is the difference between ignorance and apathy: "Don't know, don't care!"

When it comes to reaching a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us, some people follow a path of inner development, often called mysticism. Mystics seek to connect with something beyond just the intellect, like a deeper spiritual truth. They believe that by understanding ourselves better and aligning with natural laws, we can reach a higher state of being, where we feel connected to everything and everyone.

In this journey, mystics focus on virtues like understanding, service, compassion, and love, and they believe that by cultivating these virtues, we can elevate ourselves spiritually. It's like becoming the captain of our ship, steering our lives with wisdom and compassion. Creativity thrives when we center ourselves.

Achieving a Positive Mental Attitude is challenging due to the inherent balance required for existence. This equilibrium is represented by the equal sign, where a strong Positive Mental Attitude is counterbalanced by an equally strong Negative Mental Attitude, akin to the opposing poles of a magnet. This bipolarity is pervasive, evident in individuals, the Earth, and all living organisms, generating magnetic "fields" known as "auras" in humans. In our consciousness, everything necessitates two poles to exist. The yin/yang symbol of Zen Buddhism beautifully illustrates this concept, portraying the balance between emotion and thought.

When we perceive through the right hemisphere (analog/amplitude) of our brain, we connect positively with ourselves. The left hemisphere (digital/frequency) dissects our perceptions into meaningful fragments for egoic judgment and decision-making. There is no inherent right or wrong in positivity or negativity; rather, some of us hastily judge before fully comprehending what we perceive.

Imagine a magnet's ends, with ecstasy at one pole and depression at the other, while our consciousness encompasses the entire magnet. Our Peace of Mind, akin to the balance point or equal sign, resides at the center. In this center, we cannot discern which pole is positive or negative; both attract us equally. Here, we achieve the tranquility of the Here/Now, detached from the extremes of human emotion. From this vantage point, we can calmly and creatively examine our thoughts and feelings as they flow through our consciousness.

I visualize the magnet as a complete circle with a slight gap between the positive and negative poles, representing a thought cycle rather than a static duality. Like all cycles, a thought cycle evolves with each revolution, accumulating experience. Nothing in the universe is static; everything transforms, with change as the sole constant. Centered thinking helps us shed societal indoctrination and false beliefs, enabling clarity of thought.

Another visualization of the thought cycle is akin to Earth's orbit around the sun, where each revolution brings new understanding and evolution. As conscious beings, we can also evolve in our understanding and perception.

Language, while inadequate for conveying absolute truth, excels in propagating falsehoods. Internal dialogue necessitates careful consideration of language. During meditation, I translate nouns into their functions, identifying purpose in everything we perceive. This practice aids in discerning between symptom and causation, facilitating clarity of thought.

By centering ourselves and calmly observing thoughts and feelings passing through our internal equal sign, we draw the poles of the magnet closer to our true being. This process can lead to the transcendence of human extremes, culminating in a state of Nothingness—meditation or contemplation. In this state, we become creators, harnessing the boundless power of imagination to shape our reality based on Truth.

Developing a Creative Mental Attitude requires focus and attention. Einstein, with his immense Corpus Callosum, attributed his success not to superior intellect but to persistence in problem-solving. Similarly, historical figures like Leonardo da Vinci, Isaac Newton, Siddhartha Gautama, Martin Luther King Jr., and others demonstrated creative brilliance through their works.

Some may struggle with maintaining focus, but exercises akin to mental workouts can aid in discovering one's purpose. Epiphanies, or "Quantum Leaps" of understanding, may result from bridging the gap between positive and negative thought cycles.

Dr. Jill Bolte-Taylor's experience, where a tumor disabled her left hemisphere, underscores the interconnectedness of stimuli perceived through the analog right hemisphere. Her revelation highlights the potential for profound insight through altered states of consciousness.

To cultivate peace and eternal life, we must focus on our inner selves. Restructuring our thoughts enables us to discern truth from falsehood, shedding societal conditioning to reveal our true selves. This process grants us a fresh perspective on life, facilitating personal growth and enlightenment.

The human ego impedes creative thinking by accepting falsehoods, leading to imbalance and discomfort. Focusing solely on material manifestations neglects the essence of existence.

Collaborative utilization of Creative Mental Attitude can facilitate positive societal change. Agreement on shared goals precedes discussions on methods, fostering unity and progress toward a better world.

Creativity originates in the right hemisphere, with the left hemisphere refining and implementing ideas. As more individuals attain epiphanies, humanity's trajectory will shift towards holistic progress, harmonizing with Mother Earth.

Various methods exist to mitigate environmental destruction, necessitating a shift in focus towards internal truth. Everyone’s level of enlightenment influences societal priorities, with the potential for collective transformation towards a sustainable future.

The distinction between Ignorance and Apathy lies in caring about what we know. By prioritizing knowledge and compassion, we can break the cycle of indifference and actively contribute to positive change.

Ultimately, the choice to embark on this journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth is up to each of us. And once we open our minds to new ideas, we can never go back to how we were before – our understanding of ourselves and the world around us will always be expanded.

In conclusion, understanding the interplay between the GOD and the IAM is crucial for personal growth and societal harmony. Only through awareness and discernment can we transcend the limitations of our ego-driven existence and align ourselves with the greater truths of the universe.
