My Puppy Dog

My puppy dog with tail wagging
His floppy ears sort of sagging
Barks at squirrels on the run
Chases a ball, we have fun
 
Runs about, he can really go
Can catch a frisbee that I throw
Likes to have his belly rubbed
When he’s dirty, he gets scrubbed
 
He jumps into our swimming pool
My puppy dog is a playful fool
Lies in the sun and sleeps awhile
Tongue dangling in a happy smile
