Life Can Restart

by T.A. Walk

Today my heart,
Moves me to impart,
That our lives can restart.

Maybe you can’t fill your grocery cart,
Perhaps a loved one had to depart,
Either way life can restart.

Take pride in times that are tart,
They allow you to see the beauty in art,
And if you’re smart,
Those times you’ll chart,
And soon they’ll just be a tiny part,
Of a blessed life you’ve yet to start.

Monorhyme writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
A Monorhyme is a poem in which all the lines have the same end rhyme.

I have struggled for most of my life in one way or another. Today I can't pay this bill, tomorrow I'm in the middle of a war...

My PTSD and subsequent memory problems make some days nothing more than reminders of all the mistakes I've made. On my good days, I remind myself that my illness and mistakes do not define me.
