The Midnight Maiden
She’s a nurse
a lover
a friend
a light
Alone she stands
shining
appointed
for me
Her rhythm
is
my hearts beat
She waits
till we're alone
my darling maiden
and
me
Together we sing
a melody
sweet
My tears open
her heart
producing her light
smiling down
she turns them to laughter
After all the hurt
all the pain
she still waits
sent from a king
She’s a saviour
a mystic
a teller
a dream
“… She’s a midnight maiden …”
