Unstoppable Me

by Amanda Hazlett

UNSTOPPABLE ME

By Amanda Hazlett

I won't let cancer define me.
I'll use this chance to let all see
That cancer touches everyone on my family tree.
Cancer doesn't deserve to be in me.

I go to doctors who examine me.
Telling my parents what to expect to see.
My face is swollen and my hair is gone.
I sleep all day and hardly go on.

When I feel my best I will advocate for all.
When I found out I had cancer I knew this was my call.
I travel by car and plane to meet with the big shots
who think they can cure me.
Cancer doesn't have a chance as long as I be.

I won't let this cancer stay in me.
I'll fight the fight it takes to be free.
Cancer in my brain, on my spine and in my lungs,
This cancer is as stubborn as me.

God will call me home to sit on his knee.
He kept this spot especially for me.
I'm in no pain, I feel great.
I have angel wings because I entered heaven's gate.
