When times are tough, as they can be,

The good Lord often speaks to me –

Reminding me of His great loss,

When Jesus died, nailed to that cross.

He said, “I raised Him from the dead,

And healed the wounds from which He bled,

But I was anguished when He died,

Though now He’s with Me by My side.

“So as you contemplate your woes,

Because of pathways that you chose,

Remember Jesus, on that cross,

Before you gripe about your loss.”
