A Monchielle for Potlatch Poetry

From Morning to Night

by damommy

Between sunup, sundown,
the birds expect their food.
First breakfast and then lunch,
then dinner before dark.
They’re such a hungry bunch.

Between sunup, sundown,
the blossoms turn their heads
to follow sunlight’s path.
Before the day is done,
enjoy refreshing bath.

Between sunup, sundown,
cicada orchestra
sing out their trademark tune.
It’s such a soothing sound
when list’ning to them croon.

Between sunup, sundown,
we tend to daily chores.
When evening comes, we rest.
It’s how we spend our time
makes every day the best.
