POETRY CONTEST
Write a poem with the following format. A four line poem. The first line is only one word. Second and third line can be formatted as you wish. The last line is one word and the antonym of the word on the first line. Words that are opposite or nearly opposite in meaning are called antonyms. Examples are big and small, or long and short.

I used to go to church, well, rather I was MADE to go to church. Every Sunday sat in a pew or stood in the back (which I preferred) and going to confession once or twice a year. In the back there were prayer candles in dark colored glass holders. I always enjoyed lighting these, (even if I didn't have a prayer to offer, much to my father's dismay), sometimes while waiting for a family member to finish their confessions sometimes after receiving the Eucharist and waiting for Mass to end. I don't go to church anymore, but there are things I miss. Certain parts of the aesthetic and the rituals. The candles, the incense, the dimly lit space, organs, and the Gregorian-style call and response and chants. I much prefer the secular life but that doesn't mean it has to be void of ritual. I still enjoy lighting candles.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
