an 80-word story
The Note
by Bill Schott
Amos began the note he had to write, but had forgotten what it was about.
He had wanted to send a note to the lawn service to do a better job around the driveway edges.
A timely message to the postal carrier might keep him from delivering others’ letters to him all the time.
Then he remembered, he had to go to the bank in the morning. Smiling, he quickly wrote a note:
STAY CALM. THIS IS A ROBBERY.
