I never stopped thinking of this girl.
She Smiles

My secretary buzzed me and said, “A woman says she’s a voice from your past.” I pick up the phone. “Hi, it's Susie.” My heart quivered. She broke our engagement and married another. I think about her often.
I meet her and we have dinner out of the city. There’s a soft blush on her cheeks when she murmurs, “I miss our love.”
After dinner, on the way to the car, she grasps my hand, fingers entwine. We head back. Passing through a one stoplight town, we see a motel Vacancy sign burning. “Shall I pull in?” A coquettish smile.
